The Pillager Huskies fell to an 0-4 start on the 2020 season as they visited Wadena Deer-Creek, losing the set count 1-3.

The Huskies came ready to play and jumped out to a good start, taking the first set 25-22. After that, the match was mostly in control of the Wolverines. They found their groove in the second and third sets, winning handily, 25-14 and 25-15 respectively to take a 2-1 set lead.

Pillager reclaimed some life in the fourth set and made things go down to the wire, but ultimately fell 25-22 despite overcoming a 14-7 deficit early in the set to tie things at 14-14 and making things close the rest of the way.

Sadie Hopman led the way for the Huskies with 7 kills and 2 ace serves; Madison Carsten led the Wolverines with 15 kills with Emily Lepinski right behind with 13 kills.
