Hillsboro/Central Valley 63 at Grafton 62 (BBB) YourLiveEvent.com

In a battle for the top spot in Region II it was Hillsboro-Central Valley’s Gannon Limke who played the role of hero, as his jumper with 10 seconds left gave the Burros a 63-62 victory at 2nd ranked Grafton Thursday night. It was a back and forth contest with the teams exchanging leads throughout while neither team was able to build a comfortable lead. HCV used a balance attach with three scorers in double figures while Grafton was lead by Stevan Garza and Brandon Albrecht who accounted for over two-thirds of the Spoiler scoring. For Grafton the game was decided at the charity stripe while HCV went 10-11 at the free throw line, the Spoilers struggled missing 10 from the line shooting 3-13. After the loss Grafton falls to 15-2 and will travel to Midway/Minto next Thursday. HCV improves to 10-5 and will head to Bismarck Saturday afternoon to face Shiloh Christian in the Burros final non-region contest of the season.
