What a difference 14 days can make! After losing by thirty points (65-35) at Fosston on January 19th, the Bagley Flyers avenged that loss by beating the Greyhounds 40-31 Tuesday night at the Bagley Gym. The Flyers jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held Fosston scoreless until Noah Mahlen hit a three pointer for the Greyhounds 6:19 into the game. The Greyhounds would go on to score 12 unanswered points to take a 12-6 lead. The game was tied at 17-17 at halftime. Alec Norum led Bagley with 19 points as the Flyers improve to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Kenly Gordon and Jaxsyn Lewis each added 6 points for Bagley. Logan Hemberger led Fosston with 8 points as the Greyhounds fall to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference. The Flyers closed the game on a 7-0 run and scored twelve of the games final fourteen points. Bagley won the game despite shooting twenty percent at the free throw line (3 of 15). The Greyhounds are off until Tuesday, February 9th when they host the Ada-Borup/West Cougars (106.5 FM). The Flyers will return to action on Friday, February 5th when they travel to Fertile-Beltrami to take on the Falcons (96.7 FM). Fosston won the “B” Squad game over Bagley 62-23 and the Greyhounds also won the “C” Squad game over Bagley 45-34.
