The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons played their first game in nine days and shook off some early rust as they defeated Bagley Thursday night in Fertile. The Falcons were held scoreless until they got on the scoreboard with 15:05 remaining in the first half. The Falcons used an 18-0 run in the first half and a 20-0 run in the second half to help them improve their overall record to 4-2 and their conference record to 4-1. Everybody scored for the Falcons as they were led by Josie Iverson with 19 points, including 4 three pointers. Tori Erickson had a double double for Fertile-Beltrami with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Brooklyn Strem came off the Falcon bench to knock down two three pointers and ended up with 10 points on the night. Kathryn Agnew led Bagley with 4 points as the Flyers fall to 0-7 overall and 0-6 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. The Falcons will return to action on Tuesday, February 9th when they host the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Flyers will play their next game on Monday, February 8th when they travel to Lake Park-Audubon. Fertile-Beltrami won the “B” Squad game over Bagley 61-7.
