Mahnomen County Explore Future for Demolition Landfill
Mahnomen, MN — Mahnomen County is continuing to explore ways to save costs with their Construction and Demolition Landfill, including potential closure of the facility. During the most recent county board of commissioners meeting, Mahnomen City Administration CJ Holl noted that they’ve been meeting with other area counties to see how they can work together to cut costs. In the meantime, however, the landfill will be closed over the winter.
Also Administrator Holl stated that the Mahnomen County Courtroom is having some significant HVAC issues, so they will be using some of their American Rescue Plan funds to make some upgrades.
And Holl provides an update on the new Human Services building. From an IT perspective, he says there is a lot to figure out yet.
Holl also encourages folks to like the Mahnomen County Facebook page for more highlights and fun tidbits from the county. The Mahnomen County Board of Commissioners will meet next on December 14th.
