(Aitkin, MN) — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and knowing that help is out for victims and those living in dangerous situations at home is the message of Aitkin HOPE (Healing Opportunity Provided Equally). 

We chatted with Executive Director Megan Cummings first highlighting HOPE’s big anniversary year and how they have kept their services open.

HOPE has also adjusted to provide more outlets for those struggling with the pandemic and the strain on relationships.

Counseling services are available to all.

HOPE is also affording the opportunity for volunteers to become part of their family.

Cummings also added that acceptance around domestic violence is the first step into helping all.
