Pequot Lakes City Council Meeting from October 5
(PEQUOT LAKES, MN) — The city of Pequot Lakes held its regular council meeting for the month of October on Tuesday. We spoke with Mayor Tyler Gardner to hear about how everything went.
Gardner first provided an update from a situation last month in which a group of residents had sent in a petition to detach from the city and join a nearby township.
Among the other actions taken by the council was the approval of a study on Coleman Drive.
The council also heard a presentation on Trailside Estates and approved the purchase of land for a potential developer.
Gardner mentioned that the city is also continuing discussions on its contracting of fire services out to the city of Breezy Point and what could come next there.
We thank Mayor Gardner for his time. Our full conversation, in which Gardner also mentions the hiring of a new part-time police officer and discusses the Public Works Committee, can be found below.
