(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County Public Health will be holding Flu Shot Clinics, with the addition of Pfizer COVID Booster shots, throughout October and early November.
We spoke with Brea Hamdorf and Erin Melz about the upcoming clinics and the ability to pre-register for a flu shot appointment.
For those thinking of getting their COVID Booster shot, there are Federal requirements in place.
Public Health Supervisor Erin Melz did say that getting your flu shot or booster will aid in bringing down infection rates during the coming weeks and months.
Melz did also say that there is time to get your vaccinations.
Aitkin County Public Health still says the numerous mitigation factors still hold their weight heading into the end of the year.
Aitkin County Public Health and Riverwood Healthcare Center are partnering to offer a joint
community clinic to offer both the influenza (flu) vaccine and a third dose or booster shot for
COVID-19. The clinic will be held on Tues., Oct. 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. A complete listing of upcoming flu shot clinics, along with this interview can be found here:
