By: Mary Balstad email@example.com
Clearbrook, MN – Ruby’s Pantry is returning to the Country Faith Church in Clearbrook, Minnesota on Wednesday, October 6th at 5 P.M. The non-profit is a pop-up pantry location across Minnesota and Wisconsin. With no income requirements to be served, Ruby’s Pantry gives “shares” of grocery items valued over $100. Church secretary Lisa Peldo further explained Faith Country Church’s role in the pop-up pantry and how it serves the community.
The pantry is offered every first Wednesday of the month. Although the start time is listed at 5 P.M., the service time is flexible for opening and closing. However, COVID-19 has caused the pantry to adapt to social distancing and to minimize contact.
Volunteers assist in placing the food shares in the vehicle. All drivers have to do is ensure there is space for the shares to be placed. With over 26.5 million pounds of food served by Ruby’s Pantry, the Country Faith Church in Clearbrook is one of 82 national locations that serve those in need.
