Crow Wing County Board Reclassifies Roads and More in September 28 Meeting
(BRAINERD, MN) — The Crow Wing County board held its second regular meeting of the month of September on Tuesday.
The meeting was relatively short and light, with much of the time spent on road discussions. County Engineer Tim Bray first presented a proposal to revoke frontage roads near CSAH 3 in Lake Edward Township.
Bray described the proposal as a “win-win,” and it was approved unanimously. A similar proposal regarding Cimino Bay Drive in Pelican Township was unanimously approved as well.
The board also approved moving forward with a project on County Road 115 with notable discussion on the vegetation impact.
Toward the end of the meeting, Commissioner Doug Houge spoke about an accident that recently occurred on a county trail, and how a meeting with the Sheriff’s office shed some light on how access points can be created for medical personnel to mitigate such accidents in the future.
