(Aitkin, MN) — Early hunting seasons has Aitkin County springing back to life with visitors on the weekends which includes more activity for the Aitkin County Sheriff’s office.
In our most recent conversation with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida did talk about helpful tips concerning hunters for safety from other hunters and around bodies of water.
Activity still remains on some lakes in Aitkin County, but the Sheriff’s Office is working on a project for the future.
The recent ratification of the ATV ordinance has also seen lowered rates of enforcement.
Sheriff Guida also talked about Aitkin County residents that will be heading south for the winter, there is a service to keep track of their property.
And, with the weather continuing to cool down, road safety measures will also need to take more precedence.
