COVID, Delta Variant update with Riverwood Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Taylor

(Aitkin, MN) — The COVID Delta variant and mitigation of the spread continues to run through the world and the Lakes area, according to our recent conversation with Riverwood Healthcare’s chief medical officer Dr. David Taylor.

Dr. Taylor did discuss the impact of the Delta variant in Aitkin County while also touching on the hotspots around the world.

The case for getting vaccinated continues to be a focal point for Dr Taylor, even with the Delta variant infecting people who have been vaccinated.

Recent actions of a booster shot, or third shot, from the federal level for health compromised individuals is in the early stages of reaching the general public.

The debate does continue on whether  to get vaccinated or not, and Dr. Taylor did say this…

As the season continues to change, Riverwood will be offering public flu shot clinics as well as COVID vaccine clinics.

Riverwood Healthcare is conducting COVID testing at their Aitkin clinic Monday-Friday 11am-12:30pm, call 844-428-1323 to schedule an appointment.
