Ulen-Hitterdal School Board News & Notes
Ulen, MN — The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 8th. There was continued discussion this month about the proposed $2 million school childcare facility referendum. Ulen-Hitterdal Superintendent Ryan Baron says they will have two polling places for the February vote, but are still working on bringing the price tag down a little.
The school board also had some discussion about an opportunity for funding to offer COVID-19 testing to students. Superintendent Baron says it could help identify cases, but would not be mandatory.
And the board approved a number of new hires at this month’s meeting, including a new head basketball coach and math teacher.
The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board also set the preliminary levy at the maximum amount and approved an overnight field trip for the FFA this fall for their trip to the National Convention.
