Isle City Council reviews Lodging Tax Ordinance, 2022 Preliminary Budget at September 14th meeting

(Isle, MN) — The Isle City Council approved a Preliminary 2022 Budget and took positive action with city improvement projects during their regular meeting froM Tuesday, September 14th.
Isle City Clerk Jamie Hubbell recapped the meeting’s event with the Mille Lacs Drift skippers request being approved by the Council.
The Council also did take a moment to review the Lodging Tax Ordinance as it pertains to residences being used for Airbnb’s.
During department reports, concerns were raised about traffic flow by the Dollar General and action was taken on the matter.
The Airport Committee is also making positive strides for their projects.
The City Engineer also reported that bids were reviewed for the Water/Tower/Well House Project among other projects.
Hubbell mentioned the Council proposed a preliminary budget for next year, which could further adjust before the end of 2021.
The Isle City Council will next meet on Tuesday, October 12th at 6pm from the Isle City Council Chambers.
