Twin Valley City Council News & Notes from September 13th Meeting
Twin Valley, MN — The Twin Valley City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, September 13th at the Twin Valley Community Center. At the request of their sanitation provider, Fuchs Sanitation, the council approved a new garbage policy. Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall says the policy just ensures residents are putting out their garbage in a manner that is suitable for pickup.
A copy of the policy will be mailed out to residents and posted online.
The Twin Valley City Council also approved their preliminary tax levy for the 2022 year. Mayor Fall says they set it at 10%, but that number will go down as they finalize next year’s budget.
The Fire Department, which recently received their “new to them” Rescue Truck, has been very active in fundraising this past year. Fall notes that they will be hosting horse races this coming Friday at the Twin Valley Municipal Liquor Store.
And Fall encourages people to check out the new patio and fire pit that was just installed at the municipal liquor store recently as well.
The Twin Valley City Council also approved a gaming permit for the Wild Rice Conservation Club, approved building permits, and approved a job description for a custodian position, which they plan to hire for next week.
