Top Hat Theatre Brings Wide Mix of Acts for 2021-2022 Season
Ulen, MN — For more than 15 years, the Top Hat Theatre in Ulen has provided an affordable, close-to-home option for quality entertainment in the Ulen-Hitterdal area. Now in it’s 16th season and under new direction of Carrie Jirava, that same mission continues with a variety of artists from a cappella to comedy to bluegrass.
The Top Hat Theatre kicks off this year’s season on Saturday, September 18th with the Britins, a tribute to the Beatles. The Britins were originally scheduled to close out the 2019-2020 season before the pandemic put a hold on the iconic act. Other acts scheduled for this year included Bobby Vandell & Colleen Raye, who will performing a mix of country oldies, Buddy Holly & Friends paying tribute to the 1959 Winter Dance Party, the Voice’s Kat Perkins’ North Country Christmas, Comedian Tommy Ryman, vocal group Cantus, and bluegrass stars Becky Schledel and the High 48s.
Performances all take place at the Barry J. Houglum auditorium at the Ulen-Hitterdal School, which Jirava says offers an intimate setting for guests and is a favorite venue for the artists.
Single Performance Tickets start are $18 for adults and there are also season tickets options available as well. Jirava notes that the Top Hat Theatre provides an excellent value for such quality entertainment that doesn’t require a trip to Fargo-Moorhead or Grand Forks.
