Ogema, MN — Get the whole family together and head to Ogema for one last weekend of fun before school starts. It’s Ogema Days weekend with a number of family friendly events today and tomorrow, September 3rd and 4th. Today Jamie Weigel of the Ogema Community Club invites everyone to check out the Ogema Community Development Bank Customer Appreciation and later that evening take in some softball underneath the new lights at the ball diamond.
On Saturday, Ogema Days offers a number of activities and fun competitions including a 5K and Kids 1K, parade, car and tractor show, coin hunt, kick ball, bean bags, and more, according to Weigel.
Food will be available in the park as well. Not only with Shirley be cooking up her favorites, but the 6th grade girl’s basketball team will be offering up free-will-offering Ice Cream Floats and the White Earth Episcopal Church ladies will be selling fry bread and creamy wild rice.
Saturday evening there will be a street dance from 8:30 to 12:30 featuring the music of Troubadour.
Weigel adds that events like these aren’t possibly without community support and the Ogema and even neighboring communities that always come through in a big way.
