MnDOT to open guided tours of TPI work areas September 7th

(Duluth, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting the public to witness firsthand the progress made on the Twin Ports Interchange project area with a guided tour on Tuesday, September 7th at 6pm, and lasts about an hour.
There are limited spots available and registration are required to attend the event by contacting Pippi Mayfield by calling 218-725-2834 or by email. Upon registration you will receive directions for parking and attending the event. MnDOT says to plan to wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes, as they will provide protective gear such as wests, hard hats, and safety glasses.
A few of the areas and topics include Miller Creek inlet and outlet, Coffee Creek box culvert, the “tulip” area, bridge demolition, Lower Michigan bypass, railroad relocation, and much more. For up-to-date information on the TPI project, head over to MnDOT’s website.
