Plenty of Ox Cart Days Fun on Top for this Weekend in Crookston
Crookston, MN — Ox Cart Days in Crookston continues through this weekend with a schedule of events a mile long. Today you can participate in the Food Truck Festival, Hawaiian meal, beach bash featuring the Island Time Steel Drum Band, kids games, beer and wine tastings, Community S’mores, Miss Crookston and Miss Tootsie Pageant, beer garden, and more. Most of the events today and throughout the weekend take place at the Downtown Square, which Ox Cart Days Chair Libby Bourchar says has become a centerpiece for Ox Cart Days in recent years.
Saturday is by far the busiest of weeklong Ox Cart Days. Bouchar says highlights of the lineup of activities include a Craft & Vendor Show, bouncy houses, bean bag tournament, talent contest, torchlight parade, fireworks, and even Goat Yoga.
Sunday is a bit more relaxed, but there is still plenty to see and do, such as a duck drop, mini-golf, and video games on the Grand Theatre big screen.
Bouchar says Ox Cart Days has made a dramatic transformation over the past handful of years, and she credits the hardworking volunteers for putting in the effort to make it happen.
