AAPC Sells Spec Building to Barrick Family Farm
Ada, MN — After being built a handful of years ago, the Ada Area Promotions Committee has finally sold their spec commercial building in the Southwest Industrial Park in Ada. Barrick Family Farm, who is wrapping up construction on a nearly $30 million swine genetic breeding facility near Lockhart, closed on the building earlier this week. The Ada Area Promotion Committee built the 8,000 square foot facility with offices, fiber internet, 3-phase electric, and loading dock in 2016 and had a few potential buyers, but could never quite seal the deal. Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson says they are excited to have Barrick Family Farm take over and make good use of the facility.
As for whether or not the Ada Area Promotions Committee will build another commercial spec building, Larson says its unlikely at this point, but there are still great lots available in the Southwest Industrial Park for those who are looking to build.
The Ada Area Promotions Committee is formed of local Ada business leaders to support, promote, and expand local business.
