Halstad City Council News & Notes from August 9th Meeting
Halstad, MN — The Halstad City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, August 9th. At the meeting they discussed the possibility of using the old tennis courts at the former school site for an RV park. Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson says it appears the right infrastructure is there, so they hope to move forward with the conversion.
The council also got an update on their first tenant at the high school. Mayor Johnson says the Sheet Metal Workers Union group is getting moved and situated.
And the city of Halstad received good news from the Minnesota Department of Transportation in that they will be receiving $20,000 from the Small Cities Assistance Program.
The Small Cities Assistance Program is available to cities with a population of 5,000 or less for the purpose of construction and maintenance of their roads.
