Bagley, MN – Crowds flocked to the Clearwater County Fair as it opened its gates on August 4th. The fair did not make an appearance during the summer of 2020 as COVID caused its shutdown. However, because of the anticipation of the Clearwater County Fair’s return, the number of attendees were almost record-breaking. Fair manager Kurt Nygaard spoke about the excitement many felt returning to the fair and what it meant for the community.
Nygaard spoke about how the COVID-19 pandemic caused a larger turnout due to many fairs not taking place last year. The large attendance numbers also caused great turnouts for the new and returning events.
The Clearwater County Fair is expected to return next year. In the meantime, the Minnesota State Fair will take place August 26th to September 6th.
