Essentia Health Offering Virtual Advance Care Planning Class
By Laura Hamilton firstname.lastname@example.org (8/6/2021)
Essentia Health is hosting a virtual advance care planning class from 9–10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11. Advance care planning is a process that helps you think and talk about your choices for health care in the future. An advance directive is also known as a living will or health care directive. Wanda Paulson, Essentia Health Advance Care Planning Program Manager, says it’s important for everyone to have conversations with loved ones about their health care wishes.
As Essentia Health’s Dr. John Degeleau explains an advance care directive gives you assurance that your preferences are understood if you become unable to make medical decisions for yourself due to an accident, injury or sudden illness.
The advance care planning class will be offered online from 9-10 am on Wednesday, August 11th. Register for the class at essentiahealth.org.
