(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor City Council convened Tuesday night with an interim city Clerk and continued on with city improvement projects from the McGregor Fire Hall.
We chatted with McGregor Mayor Dake Olson and noted the interim City Clerk came from a staffing company for a time until a full-time Clerk can be hired.
Olson also noted that blinds have been installed at the McGregor Ambulance office and the DNR has stepped in to patrol ATV’s riding around City Limits. Mayor Olson also spoke of the Poseidon pellets project to control the levels of phosphorus in the City’s water.
The costs of the pellets is still being debated by the Council with a decision to be made at a later date. The McGregor Fire Department did receive a $5,000 donation from the Lions Club to purchase new equipment.
Mayor Olson also touched on the latest information concerning the Ditch 5 Project.
The McGregor City Council is next scheduled to meet on September 7th at 6pm from the McGregor Fire Hall.
