Mahnomen County Taking Steps to Move Forward with $2 Million in Improvements for Social Services, Courthouse, and Sheriff’s Department
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on their $2.1 million Capital Improvement Plan at their board meeting last week. At the hearing, the board adopted a resolution giving preliminary approval of the issuance of bonds for the project, which includes renovating a former bank building for social services, courthouse improvements, and also dispatch equipment for the Sheriff’s Office, according to Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl.
While this Capital Improvement Plan has been in discussions for some time, Holl says this was one of the first initial steps in actually moving forward with the project.
The county board plans to conclude the bonding process in September.
