Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro City Commission held their 2nd regular monthly meeting last Monday, July 19th at the Hillsboro Community Center, where they continued to face criticism from residents on their handling of blight problems across the city. The Hillsboro City Commission addressed the issue at their previous meeting, but again reiterated their mistake at this meeting and the need to fix it, according to Hillsboro Commission President Terry Sando.

Moving forward President Sando says they plan on making changes to their blight ordinance to better handle issues in the future.

The committee examining their blight ordinances will be made up of two commission members, two community members, and one Hillsboro Business Association member.

Also in the future when residents are having issues with property clean up, Sando hopes they will work with the city and not ignore the issue.
