Nurse Family Partnership Provides Trustworthy Guidance for First Time Mothers
Ada, MN — Even in the internet age where a million answers are at our fingertips, becoming a mom can be an overwhelming time without the help of a trusting source. Thankfully, Norman-Mahnomen Public Health’s Nurse Family Partnership is here to do just that. Ashley Braun has been heading the Nurse Family Partnership locally for the past couple years. Braun says the program provides personal nurse to guide first time expecting mothers throughout the pregnancy and the first couple years of their child’s life.
Throughout the Nurse Family Partnership Program, Braun says they meet with the mom on a regular basis to discuss their challenges, concerns, and life in-general.
Brauns adds that the programs a trusting space to ask questions about anything. She says even if it seems like a silly question, it’s better to ask a knowledgeable professional than to google something online.
The Nurse Family Partnership is free, but is only available for first-time mothers who meet income eligibility requirements. For more information, Norman-Mahnomen Public Health. Listen to the full interview with Ashley Braun from the Access Health Program below:
