Polk County Fair Returns July 7th through 11th
Fertile, MN — The Polk County Fair in Fertile, Minnesota returns this week for five big days of action, excitement, entertainment, and celebration. Starting this Wednesday, July 7th and wrapping up on Sunday, July 11th, the Polk County Fair brings back its many great attractions including back to back nights of rodeo and back to back nights of baja, Todd Armstrong Show on the midway, lots of live music, and more. Polk County Fair President Dan Grunhovd says they’re excited to have the fair back, and they’ve been working extra hard this year to get the grounds ready for a busy five days.
For new attractions this year the fair booked a glass blower to do demonstrations and a new kids show called Dollipops. Several new musical acts will take the stage as well. Many of the other mainstays are back too, including the Dock Dogs, baja racing, talent show, and chocolate contest. More than 25 food vendors will available as well. Grunhovd encourages people to explore the grounds and the many buildings filled with exhibits and vendors.
Roughly 45,000 people attend the Polk County Fair on average each year. Grunhovd says the friendly, hometown atmosphere helps make it a big draw.
Recently the Norman County Ag Society saw record attendance for their fair just a couple weeks ago. Grunhovd says if the weather is nice, he anticipates Polk County potentially following the trend.
