Fosston, MN — The Outdoor Summer Concert Series is starting off this Thursday, July 8th. Taking place at the East Polk County Heritage Center, the concert series, titled “Music on the Porch,” will showcase a variety of musical artists from Minnesota. Bonnie Stewart explains how this series was planned for last summer but it did not happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. However, with a picnic shelter and plenty of lawn space, this means that the outdoor concerts can take place at safe distances. Stewart highlights the support from the state legislature and the community.

The first act for the concert series is Jeff Benton and Paul Nye. Other regional artists include Sydney Melby from Oklee, The Occasionals from Bemidji, and the Jensen Duo from Goodridge. Each week not only bring different music for everybody, but also a delicious food truck.

The Pitmaster Pastor food truck will be at the concert site every Thursday evening. Admission for the concert is $10 a ticket at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. The music will start at 7 P.M. For more information and to keep updated on the summer concert series, go to the FCLAA Facebook Page.
