Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School wrapped up what appears to be a very successful Titan Summer School and Credit Recovery program yesterday. The program lasted about 4 weeks and had roughly 50 kids participating. Norman County East Principal Dustin Flaten says their summer learning focused on four core areas and featured a lot of project based learning.

Field trips were even included in the summer school as students got the chance to travel up to the Sandhill Nature Center in Fertile, plus they even had special guests throughout the program like Twin Valley Police Chief Jason Douville who ate lunch with the students one day as well. Principal Flaten says the reaction from the students who participated was very positive.

Depending on funding, Flaten hopes they can bring the Titan Summer School Program back next year, but maybe at a different point in the summer.
