City of Ada to Step Up Security as Vandalism Continues at West Side Park
Ada, MN — Earlier this month, Ada Public Works Director Brian Rasmussen reported that the city had seen a couple instances of vandalism in their city parks. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, the vandalism is continuing. The vandalism has included graffiti and damage to park structures. Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson says they don’t know why it’s happening, but they are going to ramp up their security, specifically at West Side Park, and try to either catch the vandals or deter it from happening.
Larson adds that worse than the cost of replacing of repairing the vandalized equipment is the time it takes for city employees to mend these senseless acts.
The City of Ada asks community members who happen to see vandalism or suspicious activity happening in City Parks to contact City Hall or the Police Department.
