McGregor School Board approves In-Person Return to School Plan for Fall at Special Session meeting

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor Public School Board discussed their return to school plan for Fall 2021 and reviewed personnel hirings during their Special Session meeting Monday from the High School Library.
The Board did approve the hiring of Kayla Ryan as Elementary Title Teacher, Lilly Bednarek as High School English Teacher, Allison Paquette as Nurse, Beth (Braun) Johnson to increase to 1.0 FTE Art Teacher, Sarah Pierce as the paraprofessional sub caller and to help with ESY services.
Elementary Principal and Superintendent Brad Johnson touched on the District’s requirement for their Safe Return to In-Person Learning Plan for the 2021-22 school year.
The Board approved the Plan with the addition of the 7-day, negative COVID-19 test period for students and staff. Superintendent Johnson is also seeking public comment on the Return Plan. Discussion was also held on the openings for Early Childhood positions.
Approval was given to hire the Early Childhood Position as a Certified Position for the 2021-22 School Year. The Board also gave approval for Specific Services Contract with ARCC and for Superintendent Johnson as the Identified Official with Authority for user access to Minnesota Department of Education secure systems.
The McGregor Public School Board will have their next regular meeting on Monday, June 28th at 6pm from the High School Library.
