65th Annual Erskine Water Carnival Gets Underway
Erskine, MN — The 65th Annual Erskine Water Carnival got underway Thursday and continues today through Sunday with more family fun to kickoff the summer. Beer garden, food stands, bike drawings, and Midwest rides and amusements will continue each day. Today, Wojo’s Rodeo and a street dance featuring 4-Wheel Drive headline the day, according to Tommy Helgeson of the Erskine Commercial Club.
On Saturday the action heats up, quite literally with highs expected to be in the upper 90s. The good news, according to Helgeson, is that this is a Water Carnival, and there are some ways to cool down.
Also on Saturday is the Big Fish Run, Bean Bag Tournament, Cowboy Breakfast, Erskine Comet Amateur baseball, golf scramble, and the final night of the rodeo. The night caps off with fireworks and a street dance featuring the band Catalyst.
Sunday is the final day of the Erskine Water Carnival, but there is still plenty to see and do, including a car show, bingo, parade, and even turtle races.
Sunday night will also be when they draw for the $3,000 cash raffle. Tickets will be available throughout the water carnival.
