Climax-Shelly Principal Dave Rufsvold Recaps the Year of COVID
Climax, MN — School wrapped up for the Climax-Shelly School District on Thursday and it was an up and down year with moments of “normalcy”, but also moments of distance learning and juggling staff while others were in quarantine. During our final Climax-Shelly News this week, Principal Dave Rufvold recapped the year.
Rufsvold says that the kids did a great job given the circumstances, but there was definitely some COVID fatigue as the year wore on.
Principal Rufsvold notes that going into next year even if there are no restrictions, there may be some of the COVID measures that they keep in place or reinstate depending on health concerns like the flu.
In other news from the Climax-Shelly School District, the school board has a special meeting on Tuesday, June 1st to approve a Superintendent contract with Dan Dalchow. Dalchow is currently the Superintendent in the Wyndmere School District in North Dakota and will replace Michael Underwood, who stepped down in mid-May.
