(Aitkin, MN) — May 17th marks two important days for the State of Minnesota. Today marks Tax Day and final day of the 2021 regular Legislative Session. Many issues still stand in the way for the House and Senate to come to a successful conclusion.
Before what was supposed to be a busy weekend, we spoke with District 10B State Representative Dale Lueck about the biggest issue of the State Budget for the next two years.
Lueck also spoke of the House’s recent passing of a Recreational Marijuana bill late last week.
Of the notable bills, still trying to pass through the Legislature, police reform continues to be a high priority, even into the final hours of the regular Session.
With the prospect of a Special Session coming, Representative Lueck and his colleagues would like to avoid a possible Government Shutdown.
