Hill City Council updates on July 4th Celebration, Mid-Year Budget Review

(Hill City, MN) — The City of Hill City Council came together for their first May meeting Tuesday night from the City Hall Community Room to update their plans for the July 4th Celebrations and discuss contracts for city services.
Mayor Sean Lathrop gave a recap of Department Reports which also featured a retirement on the Hill City Fire Department and further details on the return of the July 4th Celebration.
The City touched on cleanup efforts and they continue to wait for a new title for the 2016 Ford Fusion that remains under control of Hill City Police.
The Council also did approve the 2021-22 School Liaison Officer Agreement, the Class 5 Quote from Schwartz and Son, and a speaker system for up to $750. Mayor Lathrop also talked about establishing a date to begin the mid-year review of the City’s Budget.
The City of Hill City Council meets again on Tuesday, May 25th at 6pm.
