McGregor School Board Meeting from April 26th

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor School Board held their regular meeting Monday night from the School Auditorium to review agreements for the 2021-22 school year and hold their public hearing on the Title VI Grant.
The Board did approve donations totaling $6,750 and the Northern Lights Special Education Coop Membership enrollment Group Agreement for the 2021-22 school year. Lindsay Swedberg was hired as the Community Hub Navigator, Connie Bartlet resigned as assistant preschool teacher, and Verlyn (Sam) Haugse was hired as a part-time lawn mower.
The Board heard from High School Principal Bob Staska on changing graduation language in the student handbook for the 2020-21 school year.
The Board approved the language change and the resignation of High School Math Teacher Mitchell Dyrdahl at the end of the school year. Business Manager Shauna Dalchow presented to the Board on Fund Balance Transfers.
Dalchow also elaborated more on the Title VI Grant Public hearing for the benefit of American Indian students.
After the public hearing, the Board moved to apply for Title VI Grants dollars. Superintendent and Elementary Principal Brad Johnson discussed with the Board on a possible reduction with the Activity Bus.
The Board moved to reinstate the Activity Bus for the 2021-22 school year.
The McGregor School Board meets again for a Work Session on May 3rd at 6pm with their next regular meeting scheduled for May 24th.
