Twin Valley, MN — If you’ve ever wanted to plant your own garden, but didn’t have the room in your own yard, space may be available in the Twin Valley Community Garden! Nearly a decade ago, the Community Garden was created through SHIP grants as an affordable and convenient opportunity for community members to grow their owns fruits and vegetables in a shared space, according to Tammy Carlsrud of Norman-Mahnomen Public Health.

The plots, which measure 25ft by 10ft, are relatively affordable at just $20 each. Discounts are available to those who purchase more than one. The plots are available on a first come, first serve basis and Carlsrud says those who are interested should reserve theirs soon as last year all the lots were sold out.

The Twin Valley Community Garden is located just to the west of the Public Works Shop. For more information or to reserve your spot, contact Tammy at 218-584-5186 or Kerry at 218-766-3052.
