Ironton City Council meeting covers Water Treatment Plant, Serpent Lake Sewer District

(Ironton, MN) — The Ironton City Council continued to lay out the placement for the City’s new Water Treatment Plant and received an update from the Serpent Lake Sewer District during their Wednesday night meeting.
Deerwood Police Chief Mark Taylor noted in his report the Farm to Families will continue through May.
Lou Dorka from the Serpent Lake Sewer District updated the Council on their yearly audit.
Dr Robert Westin of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center spoke before the Council his recent purchase of city-owned property.
City Engineer Jeff Ledin continued conversation with the Council on the placement of the new Water Treatment Plant at Morningside Park.
The Council did approve the letter of recommendation for marketing CEDA, a Cottage Food permit, Picnic Tables for Grandma’s Court, and a Porta Potty at Grandpa’s Park.
The Ironton City Council will next meet on Wednesday, May 5th at 6pm.
