Ada-Borup School Board News & Notes from April 13th Meeting
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning. In his Superintendent report, Aaron Cook provided some updates on the consolidation with Norman County West. Cook says they continue to meet together in committee to finalize details for the new district and begin transition plans.
Under the building and grounds report, Superintendent Cook talked about some of the facility needs and an update on the building expansion.
Also at this week’s meeting, it was announced that long time teacher and coach Ruth Hayden will be retiring at the end of the year. Superintendent Cook says she’s had a profound impact on the district over the years.
And the school district recently had a presentation from Sargent Jesse Grabow with the Minnesota Highway Patrol on distracted driving. Cook says they’ve had some problems in the parking lot and wanted to address it.
The Ada-Borup School Board also approved hiring Shaina Hince as a Junior High softball coach and approved Austin Robb and Sunny Resnick as volunteer Junior High baseball coaches.
