McGregor City Council hears from organizations, accept Fire Dept resignation at March 6th meeting

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor City Council held their monthly meeting from Tuesday night with a pair of presentations and information on a resignation from the Fire Department.
McGregor Mayor Dake Olson recapped the meeting’s events with introductions from Steve Schack from Beaudry Oil & Propane and Shelly Eldridge from Ehlers with the continuing conversations on USDA loans.
The Fire Department saw Scott Shoemaker resign his position effective March 19th and are in the works with an architect for the design of the new Fire Hall.
Mayor Olson also explained a letter of collaboration between Partners for PCN and the City of McGregor.
The City of McGregor will be scheduling their City Clean Up Day for Saturday, June 5th from 2-6pm FOR CITY OF MCGREGOR RESIDENTS ONLY, tentatively; and the Aitkin County Hazardous Waste Collection event is May 1st from 9am-12pm at the Recycling Center.
The McGregor City Council will next meet on Tuesday, May 4th, at 6pm from the McGregor Fire Hall.
