Fishing Supplies Likely to be in Short Supply this Season
Grand Forks, ND — Last year was a record year for the fishing industry as people, especially in the land of 10,000 lakes, turned to the thrills of angling to get their fun fix during the COVID-19 pandemic. The increased demand and difficulties in the supply chain made finding your favorite fishing goods a challenge at stores across the country. And in case if you were wondering if it’s going to be any better this year, local Red River fishing guide Brad Durick stated in our conversation on the Kaleidoscope Program this week, that if you see something you need in stock at your area sporting goods store, don’t hesitate.
And while the resurgence in the fishing industry has made it difficult to get the new rod and reel you had your eye on and caused prices to go up, Durick says for the industry as a whole its not a bad thing.
And its not just the fishing dealing having a hard time keeping goods on the shelves. Shooting sports, camping, biking, and essentially all outdoors related activities continue to struggle to meet the high demand.
