HOV Golf Course to Open Easter Weekend
Ada, MN — Instead of looking for Easter eggs this weekend, you can be looking for your #3 Titleist in the rough off of Hole 3 at the local golf course. The Heart of the Valley Golf Course announced this week that they will be kicking off the golf season with a soft opening this weekend. HOV Manager Darin Ramey says the course faired very well over the mild winter and should be in pretty good shape for the opening.
While it wouldn’t’ have been much of a concern this spring, the Heart of the Valley Golf Course did do some work to eliminate some historically troublesome wet spots on the course. Ramey says they teamed up with a local farmer for a tiling project that will be a big benefit for the course.
Last year golf courses had to make several provisions to keep up with the COVID-19 restrictions, including closing clubhouses. Ramey says this year their clubhouse will be open, and they should be operating closer to normal with the exception of increased sanitizing and encouraging social distancing.
Tee times will strongly be encouraged this year, especially on weekends. Ramey anticipates many of the annual charity golf tournaments will be returning this summer as well. The course will open at noon both this Saturday and Sunday for their soft reopening.
