NMPH Talks Prom Guidance & Recommendations
Ada, Mn — With Prom season approaching quickly, schools have finally been given some guidance from the state of Minnesota on how to safely host the special night for their upper classmen. Most are moving forward with events to be held in later April or early May. As districts and prom committees look to finalize plans, Sarah Kjono with Norman-Mahnomen Public Health shares some of the recommended guidance.
Getting students to remain within groups of six may be tricky, especially if schools have a dance, but Kjono notes that they key to having a safe prom is providing ample space.
Kjono says she looks forward to more events, such as graduations, county fairs, and town festivals, being held this spring and summer with the latest guidance and improved vaccination rates.
