Aitkin Police Department monthly conversation

(Aitkin, MN) — Interim Chief Paul Ryan returned for an update on behalf of the Aitkin Police Department talking about upcoming safety initiatives, community work, and outreach opportunities.
Interim Chief Ryan spoke about how, officially, the Aitkin Police Department doesn’t have a contractual obligation to provide a school resource officer, but they try to make sure they have a presence in the building.
Credit was also given to the overnight Aitkin Police officers that have been busy with recent enforcement in the City of Aitkin.
Interim Chief Ryan says as the weather continues to warm up, more visitors and seasonal guests will be making their way back to the Lakes area.
