Pequot Lakes School Board Update
We caught up with Superintendent of Pequot Lakes School Chris Lindholm after their last school board meeting.
One big item on an otherwise short agenda was tax abatement to help a project for a safer parking lot for the school’s early childhood development.
In the Superintendent’s report, Lindholm mentioned the new hiring of a Community Ed Coordinater in Joelle Tweed, who will be making the move from Cambridge.
Lindholm also reports that they have a budget discussion before next meeting, and he talks about challenges to forecast enrollment.
Lindholm went into further detail about the challenge of calculating enrollment numbers.
Superintendent Lindholm also gave us an update on the current COVID 19 outlook at Pequot Lakes, as well as some insight in an area that the school needs help.
Lindholm’s parting words with our chat are of congratulations with the tremendous success the winter activities have had.
Lindholm discusses more about the budget revision, learning plans, and substitute teachers returning to Pequot Lakes Schools in the full interview.
