Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District update with Manager Steve Hughes

(Aitkin, MN) — As the Spring thaw continues in the lakes area, water levels continue to rise and other items have kept Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District Manager Steve Hughes and his staff, which highlighted our latest monthly conversation.
Hughes did speak about 2020 and how it was an overall wet year from a precipitation perspective.
Hughes did also mention the District is constantly in contact with other organizations and departments when it comes to this time of year.
Aquatic Invasive Species were also discussed with open water season getting closer.
The District is also looking for more help with Lake Inspectors this Spring and Summer.
