Breezy Point City Council Forges Ahead With Cooperative Road Project, Hears from BLAEDC
(BREEZY POINT, MN) — The city of Breezy Point held its monthly regular council meeting on Monday, so we spoke with Mayor Todd Roggenkamp to hear the latest news from the city.
Roggenkamp started by talking about a presentation that was given by Tyler Glynn, Executive Director of BLAEDC, on the possibility of working with the city to promote economic growth, primarily with small businesses.
The city also discussed its short-term rental ordinance in lieu of changes at the county level this year. Public hearings have been scheduled for citizens to voice any concerns on it over the summer.
Roggenkamp also provided an update on the cooperative road project that the city is leading, while working with several other area cities and townships. Crow Wing County recently approved a resolution to sponsor the project, so Roggenkamp discussed the next stage of the process.
We thank Mayor Roggenkamp for his time. Our full interview with him may be found below.
