Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro City Commission meets tonight for what could be a very important meeting regarding the future of the Riverwalk Development. The Riverwalk Development has been in the planning stages since 2019 and is a multi-phased, master planned development located west of Interstate 29 along the Goose River. The first phase of the development will feature six commercial lots and 43 residential lots, and 10 townhomes, according to Riverwalk Development website. However, the city of Hillsboro and developers have yet to come to an agreement on a line of credit. The developers are expected to present to the Hillsboro City Commission tonight in hopes of moving forward. JR Strom with the Hillsboro Business Association and Hillsboro EDC is a big proponent of the development and is urging commissioners to move forward, or he says the project could by the wayside.

The Hillsboro City Commission meets tonight at 6:30pm at the Hillsboro Community Center. The Riverwalk Developers Presentation will lead off the meeting. We’ll have a full recap from the meeting on tomorrow’s news.
