Hawley School Begins Transition to In-Person Learning for All Students
Hawley, MN — The Hawley School District is making plans to transition all students back into in-person learning over the next month. The High School has been in a hybrid model the entire school year, but they hope to end the year with everyone in the building, every day of the week. Hawley High School Principal Kelly Anderson says starting next week, they’ll slowly began the transition a few grade levels at time.
With everyone coming back, space will be limited. While social distancing won’t necessarily take a back seat, Principal Anderson says it will be much more difficult to enforce.
Anderson adds that students should be excited about the transition, but it doesn’t mean they can let their guard down against COVID-19.
Last week, the Hawley School District had 1 positive case in the elementary, two in the high school, and zero positive staff.
